| Introduction | A problem that a researcher/writer often finds is either a lack of information on persons, places or things, or hits the motherlode with too many interesting stories. If the latter, you’ll have to decide what stays and what gets kicked to the side of the road. If you won’t, your publisher certainly will. Like an old draught horse pulling a wagon full of beer, there’s often the necessity for a a writer to figuratively put on blinders, to focus on plodding ahead without distractions.
